Paul Raci (Joe) really made this movie for me. The amount of compassion in that man's face is really something else. For a movie about a metal drummer / former addict going through the hardest setback of his life, it really is so nice to have Joe as a peaceful counterweight.
Imagine over-inspirational Hallmark Channel music playing at high volume on repeat for 2 hours straight with chaotic jump-cuts of women spiking volleyballs, and maybe you'll understand why you should avoid this film.
Literally never laughed or smiled once, as the only two emotions in the movie were sadness or national pride. Best part of the movie was when the girls were finally allowed to eat something.
I don't even think volleyball lovers would find this movie fascinating, since the team…
I just wasn't a fan of Rose Garcia as a character. She got bailed out so many times throughout the movie and was still kind of cold to everyone.
