"Hardy, I have known you since you were a boy, so I think I have the requisite experience and insight to aver that you are, and have always been, penis cancer in the human form." This is a truly hilarious movie, with the story of two depressed curmudgeons developing a relationship at its core. Found myself laughing out loud multiple times and think Paul Giamatti was incredible, as was Dominic Sessa and Da'Vine Joy Randolph. Glad to see it getting some Oscar recognition.

God, I've not laughed and cried this much at the same movie probably ever. Really beautiful portrayal of a non romantic love story, something we don't tell enough stories about. Absolutely loved the performances, especially Patti Harrison's reactions and Ed Helms being ridiculous but more mature than what he is usually cast for. Did not expect a movie this funny to also be this insightful. So glad this was recommended by one of my favorite podcasts We Love the Love.
