If I had a nickel for every time a drama with Bill Nighy made me weep like a baby...
This was a lovely little film, it took a while to get into the swing of things and it wasn't groundbreaking as historical science discovery dramas go, but it had a lot of heart.
Seeing humans use science to ease the suffering of others always gets me right in the feelsTranslated from by

National Theatre Live: The Importance of Being Earnest 2025
This is the first play I ever remember seeing and I had forgotten how genuinely funny it is! By god they did it justice, even in recorded form! Ncuti Gatwa was BORN to play Algernon. The costuming was stunning, the couple of blink-and-you-miss-it script additions weren't jarring but added something for the 21st century audience. Ronkẹ Adékoluẹjo was superb, I really hope to see her in TV and film soon

The ultimate comfort watch 'I need to get shit done and I'll put it on in the background' movie for me. But equally 'will watch from start to finish completely entranced' movie. I remember once I had this on in the background five times through.
By osmosis I could recite this film by heart I think.
I could rate the actual quality of the film, but honestly I think of this like cinematic body doubling.I'll write a real review someday I'm not rewatching so I can get lab reports graded.
