Marriage Story 2019
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Enjoyable, but somewhat empty. Starts off strong, pulling you into the world and the characters. Devolves relatively quickly into a borderline parody of legal/custody culture. Every character is bittersweet at best, or truly unlikeable. These don't seem to be complex and nuanced characters, they are just groupings of positive and negative traits placed together, with the actors doing their absolute best to portray them as human. For a better portrayal of relationship struggles, watch Bojack Horseman.

The Comedy 2012
The yin to The Beach Bum's yang. When a life meaningless hedonism hurts those around you and hinders the growth of the individual. Part of what makes this so bleak is the focus, the emphasis and awareness that no-one is laughing during the jokes.
