Smoke 1995
As a tribute to William Hurt I watched this movie again, one of my all time favourites. Written by Paul Auster, directed by Wayne Wang. God, it’s great to see so much fine acting in a movie that actually has something to tell. It’s a story about people, relationships, dreams and sorrows. It’s a movie about life… When is the last time that you’ve seen that in cinema’s? Anyway… I’m glad I saw it again and I can tell you, it won’t be the last time. Rest in peace, William Hurt. You will be missed.

At its core, this is a very 'light' story, but the way it has been shown here only makes it even more 'airy'. I've read some reviews that see this as a kind of female 'Wolf of Wall Street'. Please, don't say stuff like that. It just cracks me up. You could cut so many unnecessary and boring scenes from this movie, that I fear you would end up with a short.
