  The issue isn’t that there’s “too many” of these films. The issue is lack of novelty and the boredom. Or the frustration that is that the ending idea comes way too late.

  Immense and grand in every sense.

  The Brutalist by arthouse darling Brady Corbet (both as actor and director/writer) is monumental. I was fascinated by it all around, so much so that I did not care (after a while) that it was playing in a theatre rather than a proper cinema (causing a lesser sound mix primarily due to acoustics and set up) which rarely happens.

  "Oh, yeah. Bloody hell. I'm sweatin' in here. Roastin'. Boilin'. Bakin'. Swelterin'. It's like a sauna. Furnace. You can fry an egg on my stomach. Ohh, who wouldn't lap this up? It's ridiculous. Tremendous. Fantastic. Fan-dabby-dozy-tastic." Are the first lines in the British, Cockney accented, crime film and with them I was in, set, ready to go.
