absolute masterpiece. never in any movie of any genre by any director starring any actor have i seen love so realistically, so beautifully, and so truthfully portrayed. and, quite honestly, until i see it, i do not know if i ever will again.
put simply, a film has never made me feel as much emotion as chungking express.

carrie has the potential to bring us one of the greatest novel to film adaptations of all time, but this potential has yet to be officially realized by the many attempts to adapt this.
i am not saying this is bad, but it feels someone anticlimactic at certain points. the only truly outstanding part of this is the "they're going to laugh at you" sequence, which i enjoyed, but other than that it was fairly underwhelming.
