First hour is a slog and then the guitar guys shows up and dances and the movie is still a slog but he’s there with his drill guitar and I love that.

An absolute mess.
A trans coming-into-your-own story, a cartel drama, and a family drama mashed together and all of them are bad and it’s also a musical. Chock full of baffling tonal changes and weird digressions to nowhere.
It’s kind of impressive that it is a fucking awful movie that separately is extremely poorly handled on both racial and gender lines. The French continue to prove they cannot be trusted.

A competent Christmas good time for you’re family and nothing more.
The movie hits every beat it needs to but The Rock and Chris Evans remarkable lack of chemistry drags everything down. Didn’t help that Evans can’t escape “Holy crap! That just happened 😲” Marvel-style jokes. I was also disappointed by minimal talking polar bear.
