Howl's Moving Castle 2004
Stunning, amazing animation and design. The story just doesn't capture me the way I remembered it. Too meandering and unfocused. Can't help but feel like Bale doesn't quite capture Howl- will need to watch again with subtitles.

Sleuth 1972
One of my favorite films of all time. Sleuth pits two phenomenal actors- Sir Laurence Olivier and Michael Caine- against each other in what is, essentially, a two man show. Loaded with witty repartee and twists and turns, Sleuth remains effervescent and a terrific showcase for two all-time great performers.

Spectre 2015
An illogical, incarnation-killing disaster. They really blew it on this one. Craig's Bond had some highlights and was really headed into a fourth film with major momentum following Skyfall.
This film wasted Christoph Waltz and Andrew Scott as villains in a lifeless, drab film lacking in memorable moments and setpieces, barring those so nonsensical they're impossible to forget. This film also attempts to tie together the previous Craig films with an overarching conspiracy- a terrible idea.
Spectre is hugely forgettable,…
