not my favorite eggers movie but i’d be lying if i said every time i sat down and watched one of his films i wasn’t completely immersed regardless of the intensity. haven’t seen northman so that would definitely be the context i need to see the gradual move from small scale horror to ensemble but hell even being able to do that in a few films without many growing pains is really impressive. i’ve heard good things on that one…
