I haven't watched this film but one time I was out clubbing and some wanker cited this as a reason that a man and a woman can never be just friends and as a result I will never watch this film

GOD this movie is fun. There was so much HEART put into this film. I am in an era of loving fiction with completely earnest characters and Mei's obsession with boy bands and anime and being a silly 13yo is SO enjoyable to watch. I can't say I relate to the specific culture that it's depicting but I get it. I get it.
