I wasn’t expecting much, given Jason Statham was at the helm and he has never been good at giving his characters or the story any sort of emotion or connection. This film was no different.
Watching The Beekeeper felt like they were trying to make a movie that had action parts of the John Wick and The Equaliser franchises and peppered in some money making scenes from The Wolf of Wall Street. This combination along with the lack of character development made the movie look like a cringeworthy low budget direct to streaming flick.
I honestly wouldn’t watch this again, nor would I recommend it to anyone.
