Happy St. Patrick’s day to you all! With its share of absurd humor and heart, this is an underrated little comedy that deserves more attention, especially on this day ☘️ Movies that speak to the importance of community rather than individual ego are certainly a breath of fresh air. A 90 minutes well spent as my wife and I grinned ear to ear while downing our corned beef and Guinness.

The Eiger Sanction 1975
The big ticket alpine ascent, a truly jaw dropping sequence of its own (which makes for most of the marketing) unfortunately only occupies the latter 20% of the film. Much of the film is weighed down by a rather bland establishment, which lost me several times. Characters and plot lines come and go, few enjoying satisfying arcs. This is an Eastwood vehicle, with a pedestrian supporting cast. Even John William’s score does not inspire, which is a rare miss.
