  I’m quite impressed and I rejoice in the fact that I liked it as much as I did, based on the awful first critic reviews. Gaga impresses, Phoenix shines again. The musical genre narratively fitted this film. Don’t love it yet but I may get there!

  Memorable imagery, immense use of sound. Love all of it’s influences. A unique audience experience with a body-horror with such relevance. It’s hard to convey just how fucking far into insanity this thing goes.

  The Road Dance is directed by Richie Adams and stars Hermione Corfield, Morven Christie and Will Fletcher. Based on the Novel by John MacKay, The Road Dance is a film that is so grippingly distressing. The film tells a particularly frightening and emotional story in a fantastically executed way with brilliant performances. A period Drama like this just feels so rare in 2022 and especially a Scottish film in general which don’t get made with a budget very often either…
