A Straight Story perhaps may be in the running for best Disney movies ever. Move over Cars. Classic David Lynch tropes on top of a story that if you told me was an adaptation of a Jack Kerouac novel I’d believe you. A beautiful portrait of America which is one I heavily align with. I love the shots of rolling corn fields and heavy farm equipment. The characters that Alvin Straight meets along the way reveal a kind and genuine person behind the stubborn “old geezer” (his words, not mine) that is Alvin Straight.

Dune 1984
First off, thank you David Lynch for keeping your classic distorted wind sounds in this flick. The dream sequences were so Lynchian this movie did not escape his grasp in any respect. The special effects were laughable and it adds sugar to the cough medicine lore of the Dune novelization. Barron Haroken; hell yea that guy was funny as fuck. Jack Nance and Brad Dourif are such great henchmen which makes sense why the duo reunited as Frank’s henchmen in Blue Velvet two years later. Overall 10/10 experience would recommend.
