  thank you Trainspotting 1996 for reminding me that i have in fact inherited the fear of needles from my dear parents
  very different from the book but i don’t think that it’s a bad thing, they stand alone from each other but it’s defo better to read first. feel like the book describes the reality and the film describes the appeal - much easier to sympathise  with them when renton is obi fucking wan. huge fan of the 4th wall breaks in the mirror BUT they needed stronger accents, far too easy to understand without subtitles
