i'm back in brazil for the first time after over a decade.
currently staying at the house of one of my oldest friend, whom i have never met in person before, prior to now.

catarina has only ever watched five films her whole life, she has openly admitted not to like cinema very much.
Nilo, her son, has probably also only seen five films his whole life too, but that's because he's only five years old.

more often than not, cannibalism when used as a metaphor in media, is more about blind consumerism allegory or power dynamics. unlike the potential limerical tragedy of it. this film never shies away from how self-harmful and violent that feeling of absolute loneliness and emptiness-void can invalidate some people, taunting us with it's grotesque voracity and vivid gore.

these last few years i’ve been really trying to work on myself and recognize the true roots of my feelings, my needs and inner desires; like…

quick break, quick bite and no fun but i'm thankful for the nicotine and that palette of wood on the floor that someone forgot to put away and i repurposed as rest.

a metronome is the heartbeat of rhythm; without it, sounds can become tumultuous and if that cube isn't in harmony with the universe, chaos erupts, just like a song that doesn’t keep time.

    blue collar is prostitution
    the military is prostitution
    the proletariat is prostitution

if in parasite capitalism was the root of social inequality, here it is a force that literally erases individuality, converting human lives into disposable pawns, to mere commodities that can be bought, sold, and disposed of. to ask what excels when we finally cross the only barrier set to limit the body and mind from absolute exploitation: the privatization of death.

the best thing one can hope for in life
is to die with all of your teeth

every once in a while, we attend a show so thrilling, embracingly sumptuous and inebriating, that the most appropriate response would be to look hard and say nothing.

had  the enormous honor of meeting dylan carlson once, firstly meeting holly (his then wife) we had a chat at the merch table, over her face being the cover art for his later solo project (the conquistador) after the concert was over she asked me to join her next to him. carlson had the most silly voice intonation and such a welcoming demeanor.

everything about earth creates this breathtaking, hypnotic effect - a new way to dream.
