  before watching this, i had yet to see 3D rendering done well in an otherwise 2D anime….. and after watching this? i have STILL yet to see it done well.

  i was SO excited for this and SO disappointed. part of me also blames the hype on ppl EXCLUSIVELY posting snippets of the Best animated parts of the film and skewing my expectations so significantly. why wasn’t anyone talking about how poopoo everything else was!

  ok so i rly liked the film but i was initially extremely NOT on board w the hype re: the soundtrack. let me explain!

  yes, it goes hard but it felt SO shoehorned in a lot of places, starting rly abruptly in the middle of an otherwise emotional dialogue. it didn’t feel like it FIT and i was reaching the v peak of my tolerance when we got to that last scene.
