Flow 2024
Feels like a short film that got out of hand. Despite many beautiful moments of animation, or emotional scenes that tug on some heartstrings, the wordless communication can only take you so far before feeling like the film is meandering to find meaningful impact. Additionally, most of the time, I found the animation to be very distracting, with many character movements feeling rigid and choppy, making the whole film feel like one long video game cutscene. A great concept at its core that suffers from providing too little for its runtime, or too much for its relatively small scope.
