  Watched at Palace Cinema.

  Cate Blanchett was phenomenal.
  Lots of wonderful symbolism.
  Topics like cultural appropriation, white privileged and colonialism were played in a really thought provoking way.
  The sounds, music and silences were really well used.
  Great dialogue. 

  The ending was kind of weird though - almost ruined it for me - and the closing music???? Whack.

  Fckn great movie though. I’ve been thinking about it lots since I watched it and I’ve been recommending it to everyone, so that’s a good sign!

  I love the simplicity of this movie and being able to just lap up the ASMR of it all without all the other usual stimuli - complicated plots, emotionally manipulating scores etc (although I also love those things). Minus half a star for Dodan’s heavy mouth breathing and over the top moaning/chewing noises during the first meal with his boyfriends
