  Too drawn-out and overdone. The acting is way too over the top and Nosferatu‘s costume and makeup are too extreme for a good Gothic horror film. The Romanian accent he put on was so strong it almost sounded like he was trying to infuse the film with a comedic element. You can’t build suspense if you make every scene from beginning to end as creepy as possible.

  Lovely old rom-com with some social commentary. This could easily be adapted for the present day but it would lose some of its old-timey charm. Budapest is a wonderful setting.
