This live action is far from perfect but it does not deserve nearly half of the hate it got when it was released tbh.
Making a movie about mermaids that looks so colourless is criminal, they didn't even give Ariel her iconic bright red hair! There was also room for a more inventive cinematography and more creative costume designs, especially for Ariel.
