Decent I’m glad the prof was supportive. Love a good name origin story as well.

The most uncomfortable I’ve ever felt watching a film.

Truly a waste of time. The film is inconsistent and seemingly cannot pick a style, randomly switching to “philosophical” conversations introducing shots for only two scenes and then switching back. This story has been told sooooo much better by many films. I don’t really see the comparison to Anora, it has more in common with bird which was definitely better.

Stayed through the film, was the wrong decision.

A slice of life film offering a glimpse of Mumbai life. I watched this at IFFR and a Q&A session featuring the director after the screening explained some of the films story telling and cinematography. This extra insight increased my appreciation for the film and without this I don’t think I would have grasped that intention.
