  Genuinely don’t think there’s a better film that represents how cinema so often doesn’t need words. With this framing, pacing, cinematography and of course the soundtrack; the meaning is really flawlessly communicated. And with the soundtrack especially. I think it’s around 31 minutes into the film where the soundtrack goes almost eerily quiet, and you really notice it’s absence. To the point where I was scanning the screen, only to see concrete tower…

  This just felt very empty, as if it was trying very hard to be a film that it’s not. It was as if it was trying to make some sort of political statement too but this film felt so emotionless and meaningless and it lacked true development as well as full development for the characters.

Don't get me wrong, "ponytail Derek's" mixtape is pretty good. But are you telling me that "come on Eileen" is not one of the most overplayed songs, ofc its gonna be at a formal.
