It’s such a glorious film! I think some people walk into this movie expecting it to be quite serious and it has its elements — touché. But overall this film is quite funny and so beautiful to look at. As a viewer, you’re engulfed by the beautiful rolling greenery and lavish interior decor of the characters home. From the production 🕯️ to the wittiness of the characters throwing shade at one another in such a proper way you can’t help but to LOL. It also leaves me thinking if Kubrick was inspired by Gone With the Wind? Some elements of Barry Lyndon remind of that film…

The Informant! 2009
It’s refreshing to see Matt Damon not in detective mode but in a goofy and semi-serious mode. My friend made a good point about the music being too much in the film and I agree. It’s like the music curator from Napoleon Dynamite came through and played the music that didn’t make the final cut play for The Informant. Overall this film is enjoyable, funny, and a few twist and turns that made me think “What the fuck?” or “Why Matt Damon? Why?” The first leg of the movie is entertaining but then towards the end it became boring and predictable.
