Six Black Horses 1962
Taut, short, standard western for mid career Audie Murphy. Dan Duryea plays the baddie perfectly as usual. The plot was of a higher grade than most of Murphy’s B films and it’s obvious that this could have been elevated with a higher budget and longer runtime. The addition of the dog as a companion is interesting. Overall predictable B western but with enough deviation from the standard formula to be engaging
