  At the beginning of the film, Moonee brings Jancey into her wonderland. At the end of the film Moonee’s wonderland is fading away, and it is Jancey this time who must save her best friend from facing the cruelties of the adult world. But like most fairytales, the enchantment of childhood adventure ends when it’s time to finally grow up. For Moonee this time comes prematurely, and she’ll never forget what was stripped away from her.

  The type of movie that shouldn’t be relatable to anyone, but is understood by everyone. There are layers to this movie which you can’t quite pin down but that are powerful enough to get you asking some important questions - not only about yourself, but about the ones you love and the ones you can’t love. 

  Watching this in the cinema was a great move - and what a performance by both actors.
