Promising Young Woman 2020
Bold in its concept, Promising Young Woman starts with a promising premise but ultimately falls short due to a hollow delivery and message.
Carey Mulligan was spectacular and did this role justice, especially given a somewhat caricature-like script. However, with a better story arc for her background, Mulligan’s character could appear much more three-dimensional and relatable.
