Lady Snowblood 2: Love Song of Vengeance

This has everything that made me love the original. But Love Song for Vengeance as a sequel leaves me wondering why the titular character is in it at all.

Personally I think this was a better story than the original but it all feels so disconnected from Yuki. It felt like she was tossed into someone else’s story as a supporting character.

Everyone should see this. Take your parents to see it. Take your siblings to see it. Take your cousins to see it. Take your friends and your friend’s friends to see it.

And, if you can, join a local protest.

Okay so maybe I take movies too seriously and there are some movies that are just meant to be fun rides. Barbie is a very fun movie and I loved it. BUT I feel like you cannot just mention virtue signalling phrases as a self-critique while engaging in the same thing. Again MAYBE IM READING TOO MUCH INTO SOMETHING THAT SHOULD JUST BE FUN (but I’m my defence I wouldn’t have thought that deep about it if it wasn’t overtly mentioned in the movie)
