The Shape of Water 2017
Definitely weird as far as love stories go, yet oddly heartwarming despite it's obvious fishy-ness. Set in a beautifully shot Jean-Pierre Jeanut-esque world, there are great performances all round and incredible prosthetics; however, I felt Octavia Spencer's character was underdeveloped, she seemed more like a vessel to translate Elisa than a way to propel the story.
Say what you want about an aquatic, interspecies, gothic romance, I was honestly more grossed out by Micheal Shannon not washing his hands after peeing.Translated from by
