  I genuinely cannot express how much this movie pleasantly surprised me. I went into Wonka with absolutely zero confidence in it being genuinely good, but holy shit. Timothee chalamet should have always been playing absolutely off their rockery whimsical ass characters because it’s clearly his calling. He’s not like Wilder or Depp, he’s his own Wonka and I fucking love it. The music was also spectacular. Like, genuinely catchy. Every scene that had a song in it put a massive smile on my face. Please go watch this movie if you want to have fun and joy and whimsy in your life.

  the most accurate depiction of mental illness I’ve ever seen. I’m inclined to call it beautiful because of the excellent work of color theory, but i find the movie itself almost ugly in how bitterly realistic it is. Exhausting to watch. Love it.
