  I had the pleasure of rewatching this at the cinema on 70mm prints, not remastered, just how Kubrick intended the film to be watched… it was as stunning as ever, it never gets old. The film was made even better during the scene of Poole’s murder by Hal: in the moment his oxygen is detached and he flies into space, when normally there would be silence, the most British bloke ever two rows in front astutely says “For fuck sake.” Brilliant.

  Wow. Frank Sinatra can act?! Frank Sinatra can really act?! Yes. Direction is incredible, brilliant rewrite of the book, talented cast. Yes please. Highly recommended.
