Nomadland was just about what I expected which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
The plotting of this film is painfully slow and predictable. Yet within this we get an amazing performance from Frances McDormand as Fern. You feel like you know this person right as she gives off a familiar and warm feeling. Honestly you feel this way about everyone in this film. Everyone feels familiar. Is this the best live action manga adaptation? Maybe. At least the best I have seen.
Riki-Oh is so violent and so campy almost like a cartoon but doesn't feel awful. The presentation, the pacing and effects make this film a fun splatterfest with a little heart. With how over the top this film is, you would expect cohesion to be lost and it isn't.
Full of fun characters, great costuming and creative choreography, Ricki-Oh is an action film personified. Not for everyone, I can guarantee that, but if you give this one a chance you will not be disappointed.
Bong can honestly do no wrong and I throughly enjoyed the setting and satire. Robert Pattinson is on another level and Ruffalo is doing some crazy acting choices that just work. Score is meh. Cinematography is wonderful land the effects are elite.

Even on a sixth time watching this film I feel something different and pick up on new things. Now as a married person the themes of this film hit harder than ever. Just a film that can mean so many things to different people in different parts of their lives. A monumental achievement in film. There truly aren't notes. This is perfection.
Hot Mother was wild. In a very quick 15 minutes you are blessed with excellent cinematography, amazing performances and great pacing. You care about these people really quick and the ending just hits. Easily one of the most surprising short films I have ever seen. If I had an issue, the title does not fit the film and sounds kind of silly. Could stop people from checking this out, but please please do.
