After attempting Kubrick’s A Clockwork Orange, this was a cinematic masterpiece. I instantly fell in love with Kubrick’s insanity when it came to symmetry and beautiful visuals. I feel so bad for the interns and crew on that set though. Detail like that takes IMMENSE work.

A Clockwork Orange 1971
This felt like the OG pretentious film school film. I think the direction is good, but the source material is downright atrocious. I analyzed some of this film in a college course once, but I can’t see myself honestly sitting down and watching this (I couldn’t, I quit after 30 mins.)
