  I went in knowing nothing about this and came out not knowing much more. I was in and out of sleep (30 seconds? 5 minutes?), so it was nightmarish in a sense. Expected jump scares and there were a couple (near deafening) doozies, but it just felt like creepy images without much coherence (to me). I'd like to read some of the raves to see what they were seeing that I was missing since I spent a lot of time…

  I remember being enthralled with this story as a kid and I loved this loving adaptation with the expected yet still surprising Wes Anderson flourish. Loved every actor in their multiple roles and their commitment to the absurdist continuous narration within narration.
