The Heartbreak Kid 1972
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Final shot makes me think about some of the messages of this film. One that resonates is that people are never satisfied. Even when he got what he wanted in the end, he still isn’t happy shown through him using his own wedding as a networking event. Makes you question the point of doing anything hard but it seems there’s no better answer than the difference between joy and pleasure. Pleasure can hit the high notes momentarily, but joy can sustain a wide range of notes. After all, you’d rather play a piano with five octaves rather than one.
