everything about this is so middle school. middle school angst, middle school love, middle school ambition out of nowhere, ambition that you might look back at 10 years later and laugh at but it tugs at your heart and introduces you to a world of passionate discovery. There is so much honesty and just enough low key charm in this movie, and I just feel. seen.
once again, Ghibli put out serene animation that brings our the coming of age…
