Annihilation 2018
I’ve watched this film seven times in the last two years, and each time has been just as powerful. The film is terrifying in moments in a psychologically disturbing way (although the “bear” scene delivers true horror for thriller fans) with the final, unforgettably haunting and disturbing ending highlighting the running theme of self-destruction. I found all the characters to be nuanced, each experiencing their own understated struggle, with the protagonist’s inner conflict quite literally refracted into the decor. Ultimately…
