There's something fascinating about a biopic where the person portrayed is so utterly dislikeable.
I'm not entirely sure that was the intention though. Anything great or admirable about Bernstein is only mentioned in passing. Except for the grandiose conduction sequence, where the filmmakers remembered they had to show him do something of note.
