"The age of the Takeda is over. The era of guns has begun."
I think this was the greatest shit I've ever seen. Set in the late Sengoku period of feudal Japan, it captures the tension between the Takeda clan and their adversaries. Most striking point was by far its depiction of the Battle of Nagashino, where the Takeda cavalry, once feared as an unstoppable force, meets their end against disciplined formations. Defeat of the Takeda clan isn't just the loss of a clan; it's the loss of an entire philosophy of war.
