Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy 2025
I enjoy Bridget Jones films and was expecting a lighthearted movie that would let me forget about work for a couple of hours. Instead, I got a deeply emotional comedy that nearly had me in tears before the opening titles even started flashing up.
In summary, a funny reminder that we’re all going to die someday.
Glad James Callis got more screen time this go around!

Godzilla 1998
It hasn’t aged well but to me it serves as nostalgia from being a kid when this came out. 90’s was peak summer blockbuster, cereal prizes were popping and Matthew Broderick and Jean Reno were living their best lives.
If you’re watching this film for any other reason nostalgia however, be warned that there’s dated slang, dated CGI and an incredibly disliked representation of Godzilla to be found.
Still, Roland Emmerich does great practical destruction effects!
