  I’d been really looking forward to this after its festival successes. The title sumarises the film - I could find little to love. The characters were so unredemable that I wanted to get out of their company as soon as possible. Beautifully shot in a bleak grey landscape. Moments of real artistry, but I couldn’t engage with the story.

  Despite knowing the story's tragic end before setting foot in the cinema, Amy was full of surprises. Although her story is inevitably full of sadness, her passion for her music, which punctuates the entire film, can't help but inspire. The photos and personal videos which make up a lot of the film make this a very intimate portrait and this array of footage is edited skilfully together by Chris King.
