    It's not a thriller, but it's unsettling.
    It's not a romance, but it's a little sweet and sexy.
    Not a slasher, but there will be blood.

    Blink Twice asks us to question what we're living for, and does it well. Never overstaying its welcome, it's a fun time.
    Near the end, there's a line of dialogue and accompanying behavior that doesn't fit one character, but it's to wrap up a loose end to tidy up the finale.
    Worth a watch

    A beautiful, horrible, sensual, grotesque, serious retelling of the Dracula story, patterned after the century-old film. Every performance is great. As with the Northman, the setting itself is a standout character.
    On sensuality: multiple times throughout Eggers plays the crowd to thinking,"is this going to be hot? Maybe... Oh NO, we were wrong." You can see the poster, can't you?

    One of the forerunners of the horror genre is almost whacky in the present day.
    In a silent film, before camera work, close-ups, subtlety and big budgets could move you, these actors had to.
    It didn't really work for me. The leading lady is overanxious, without explanation, the protagonist a clueless chump, and his boss something of a ghoul and clearly a "bad guy".
