When you suddenly realize you haven’t watched The Crow in more years than you can remember, and feel the weight of getting older and life getting in the way of things you hold most dear.

Re-watching and it has so much more meaning now as an engaged adult than an angsty kid who just thought it looked cool.

    Heartbreakingly perfect.

I want to live in this movie.

I don’t even care if it’s as Brad Pitt’s dog.

I loved this as a kid when it first aired and I love it now. A perfect time capsule of the 25th anniversary and all the celebration goin on around it.

This special first aired on September 28th, 1991, falling between the TNG episodes “Redemption II” and “Darmok”, the first two episodes of Season 5.

Gene Roddenberry passed away on October 24th, 1991. On the video copy of the special there is a moment added in during the closing memorializing…

My full franchise Re-Watch has finally brought me to one of my favorite movies, Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country. This was the last of The Original Series movies before they switched to The Next Generation crew coming up in Generations.  A true end of an era and a celebration of the 25 years that had came before. Now coming up on the 60th year anniversary next year, I love to look back and see Trek at a major high…

As much as I enjoy the bickering and the picking at each other, the crazy therapist who thinks he's in the band, Dave Mustaine crying, Lars melting down over Echobrain, and watching an album come together, my favorite part is watching the bass auditions and seeing how Robert Trujillo fits in perfectly from the jump, and is genuinely over come by the oppuertunty to join the band, changing his life forever. It's the heart of the film.

I always wondered what Newsted thought of that.
