  One of the rare examples where I believe I enjoyed the film more because I have read the book. If I hadn't read the book before watching this, I would definitely find it disappointing

  Apparently, unlike most, I found the main character likeable. Rebel, wild, unapologetic and a great dancer. Very blunt contrast with Korean culture. The problem for me was the second half of the film, when the time lapses start, too messy. And a lot of inexplicable things happen. Why did she go back to South Korea after 2 years? Why did she say that to her boyfriend? Why did her father hurried her to the taxi?

  Unfortunately I cannot give 5 stars to a film that mentions siestas in Portugal

  PS: the subtitles in Portuguese were just not good. At one time, when Bella says that they are the owners of their means of production, it was translated to "we are independent women"... Like, half of the meaning of the sentence was lost...
