    This is Trump satire for people with irreparable brain damage.

    If you've ever wondered what it's like to spend 137 minutes being beaten over the head with the most on-the-nose storytelling imaginable, and then have Mark Ruffalo bite you so hard that his veneers pop out and lodge themselves in your broken skin, I have a movie for you.

    I left the theater complaining that this felt like a bad Netflix movie, but that does a disservice to Bong Joon…

    It’s not often that you witness a piece of cinema that feels 20 years too early. SATC2 is a fever dream and a prescient glimpse into our Trump-dominated future. This is Trump Gaza before we could ever begin to comprehend it. Watching this for the first time was a monumental cultural moment.

    Please note: this film was watched back-to-back with the directors cut of the first film, and I had smoked 1 cigarette and drank 1.5 bottles of wine by the time I pressed play.

    Having Orlok’s bloodlusty bottom sub guy who looked like Peter Pettigrew bite the head off a pigeon was a choice.

    As the saying goes: “beautiful gowns.” The less said about the acting of everyone (besides Dafoe and Skarsgård) the better. I shouldn’t be dozing off during the climax of a vampire movie, yet there I was resting my eyes through half the dull dialogue.
