Raccacoonie, butt plugs, alpha waymond, 2 ft dildos beating cops up (there’s symbolism here but idk what it is), Michelle Yeoh and Jamie Lee Curtis finger bangin each others mouths. All this because their daughter left her everything bagel in the toaster a little too long. The solution is scrape off some of the burnt bits and slap some schmear on it, you can avoid having that awkward convo with grandad that Becky is more than just a friend. Fun watch but after holding off on it I’m surprised this movie had such a chokehold on everyone a few years ago.
Chaotic, fun, and captivating from start to finish. As someone that’s been on a bender or two that was exhausting to watch.
The first half is an epiphany for anyone that’s ever fallen in love with a stripper and thought “yea she’s totally into me.” The 2nd half is a come back to delulu land and yea that stripper might actually be into you. Being the rich son of a Russian oligarch might help though.
Sean Baker just gets it.…
Long aaahh movie.
1st half:Poking fun at Adrien Brody’s schnoz, funny. Great acting, great shots, well paced, on its way to being a great film… then.
Intermission: Cool 15 minutes for a piss break and chit chat with the friend you sorta forced to go with you to a 3.5 hr movie.
2nd half: film kinda derails (pun intended). I couldn’t stop thinking how the niece actress looks like Daniel Radcliffe, marble scene in Italy was redeeming and then it ends in a scavenger hunt.
Epilogue: didn’t need it, didn’t want it. But okay. The architecture was mid.
This movie made me want to start smoking again but then I realized I’ll never be Timothy Chalamet portraying Bob Dylan cool. But no kidding might’ve been a propaganda film for big Tobacco and I’m here for it. Enjoyable watch from start to finish, one of the better music biopics I’ve watched.
