The only good thing from this was Rachel Zegler. With all the criticism that came out when she was talking about the changes made to this 1937 film, I can say she was right. All the changes made was for the better, again the original is from the 30s, it’s about time something changed.
But, my god, were the dwarfs terrifying. That was a mistake to make them cgi. Did I get used to them, yes, but still a massive…
Here me out…I kinda liked the storyline more than the first. The thing that knocks it down is the songs, not at all on the same pedigree as the first but that makes since. Lin just has that magic touch.
The biggest thing that hit me in the first frame was the color. Throughout the whole film, the colors were vibrant and gorgeous! Also, the little sister was so stinking adorable!!
But honestly, had the same feeling as a direct to video sequel.
The fakeness of that balcony is crippling…she wrote not even half way through the movie. You should have been there, that ending had me reeling. This movie is not only beautiful, it’s folded within itself creating a freshness that I can’t really describe.

Important!!!
Rating solely on the storyline of Sonic and Shadow storyline. Imagine being in a movie theater in front of a row full of kids, where they don’t stop speaking the whole movie, that’s where I was. In full honesty, I knew what I was getting myself into going to my cousins birthday party at a movie theater, but I thought it they would be a but more respectful.
In retrospect, the movie was good and I enjoyed it. The only thing was the doctor storyline which I strongly dislike, but my opinion.
