The Last Boy Scout 1991
The rare case where saying "they don't make em like this anymore" isn't really meant in a totally endearing way.
The Last Boy Scout is a pretty fun movie, Bruce Willis and Damon Wayans play a P.I and a washed up football player respectively, there's shitloads of good one liners and the script leans into a pretty similar action film type premise to earlier Willis hit Die Hard, what's not to like?

Anora 2024
Anora is Sean Bakers latest film offering and to no one's shock its one of the best films of the year.
This is only my second Sean Baker film after The Florida Project (which is basically a perfect film in my eyes) and whilst Anora doesn't hit the heights that film hit in my opinion, it is a really funny, engaging and well executed comedy that like The Florida Project maintains Bakers conscientious and grounded approach to exploring social issues.…
