  like with Patti Cake$, it's amazing that the cast managed to deliver what they did. there's something really lacking in the actual structure of the film, somehow. it's like a grab at trying to become a cult film, rather than just trying to be sincere.

  holy shit, what a movie.

  josh hartnett delivers what may be the performance of the year, echoing james mcavoy in "split" for the transitions of self. a masterclass of smoke and mirrors, a long hallway of distortion that the audience keeps choosing to run down, leaves this film not needing any special twists.

  just sit down, enjoy lady raven's pretty voice, and take the ride. it's so, so worth it.
